The Women Behind the Farm

Amy and Beth wanted their own busy households to experience farm-fresh meat, high standards, and ethical animal care—so they built it.

The story began in the Pacific Northwest, where Amy grew up on her grandparents’ farmland, discovering the secret world behind robust vegetable gardens and small-batch canning. Today, on 28 Van Alstyne acres alongside three kids and a “pack” of German shepherds, Amy channels that curiosity into locally focused, sustainable farming.

Beth, a veteran Texan entrepreneur with roots tracing to Kansas family ranchlands, teamed up with husband Dustin and their five children. As they cared for Restoration Ranch, high-quality, pasture-raised meats naturally became part of their lifestyle. Working together, the Hertzog and Paine families give every animal a name, a compassionate home… and local customers food their own kids eat every night.

“We wanted to offer the level and standard of meat our families get to enjoy to other families,” say Amy and Beth. “Now, our children know exactly where their food comes from—and so can yours.”
