How Sourdough Became Marion’s Calling

Fixing A Feast was born not just in a kitchen, but in the challenging, joyful, and faith-driven journey Marion walked alongside her husband, Tom, during his health battle.

Her hands learned the careful patience of sourdough by coaxing her starter to life—and baking loaves for neighbors after “more than a few flops!” Guided by a friend’s gift of sourdough starter and the zeal to help her husband heal, bread went from nourishing her family to feeding a grateful community.

As demand for her loaves flourished, Marion’s mission deepened:
